Spider-Man Short
About
This is a short animation that I did for my project for my digital illustration class. The project is pretty much a cumulation of the usage of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.

I'm a huge Spider-Man, I love the character as well as his villains so I decided to make that my topic. I was feeling nostalgic so I decided to animate a short that mirrors retro games.
Preparation
Even though this is for a final, the time I got to work on this project wasn't long. I initial free drew sprites of Spider-Man and animated it to do a running motion, unfortunately its quite time consuming and I knew if I continued that motive there was no way I would have finished. The main task of project is to do an animation, not really character design. So I decided to make an audible and animate sprites that I found online. Below is the set of the sprite that I use for my animation.
Animation
To create the animation, I broke down the animations into several parts. A running animation, swinging animation and a fighting animation. I decided to use Photoshop to create gifs seems I thought it was easier to do it that way rather than do everything in After Effects.
After doing the animation I created the animations, I created the background in Photoshop. The background if a just a long city skyline, that the camera traversed throughout the scene. After that the animation is done by using the translation effect on the action animations and a background music was added in the end.
